How to transfer files on a Kindle with a USB cable?

The Amazon Kindle is an eBook reader containing virtually dozens of books in your bag or luggage, all taking up less space than a single book. All Kindle wireless application “Whispernet”  allows downloading e-books files directly from Amazon. com. If the Kindle’s wireless connection is not working, or if you are outside the service area, you can also transfer files directly from your computer to the Kindle via a USB cable.

Instructions

1

Stretch the Kindle cord plug load. This reveals a USB connecto rthat you can then plug into a USB port on your computer or a USB hub connected to your computer.

2

Connect the other end of the Kindle cord load in the port of loading your Kindle. Your Kindle can be enabled or disabled for this part of the process: the loading port is also used for data transfer, so you can both recharge the Kindle and transfer files.

3

Wait until your Kindle automatically switches USB and appears in the system of your computer as an external removable mass storage, as would a CD or data DVD.

4

Double-click the icon to display the Kindle’s folders. Locate the folder named for the type of file you want to transfer from computer to the Kindle. Note that only certain file types -. pdf. AZW, AZW1. TXT,. MOBI,. AA. And AAX. MP3 – are read by the Kindle.

5

Locate the files you want to transfer to the hard drive of your computer, then drag and drop them into the appropriate Kindle. Use the ejection of the computer once the transfer is complete. Kindle disconnect your USB cable.
